Whether at 10:00am on Monday morning or 3:00am Saturday night, Newton Memorial Hospital
Emergency Department stands ready to respond to a wide variety of emergency situations.
From the latest standards of care for the treatment
of acute heart attacks to the early diagnosis and care of routine minor infections and acute
injuries, the Emergency Department can respond with rapid intervention. Newton Memorial
Hospital services the majority of Sussex County, a large community with a growing population
as well as Morris, Warren, and Pike County, PA. Upon average the department administers
care to 27,000 patients per year. The members of the Emergency Physician Staff are all board
certified, with extensive experience in emergency medical care. The nursing staff has completed
specialized training in emergency nursing.
The goal of Newton Memorial Hospital Emergency Department is to provide quality care in
a timely fashion, to be able to respond quickly and correctly to any problem and to treat
our community with dignity and compassion. We routinely seek and review patient's comments
and complaints in order to strive to improve our ability to care at a time when patients
and families need the most support.
