Respiratory Care

Respiratory Care is a service providing you with therapy and diagnostic procedures related to your pulmonary condition. Our department is here to give you very good care for all of your needs. Our respiratory therapists are all graduates from a school approved by the American Medical Association, certified or registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care, and licensed by the state of New Jersey.

We provide treatment to maintain or improve the ventilatory function of the respiratory system. When necessary, we will assist you with your breathing with high-tech, state-of-the art equipment in emergent situations or in an intensive care setting. Our goal is to keep you as comfortable as possible and decrease your work of breathing when labored, providing you with oxygen therapy and respiratory treatments.

Diagnostic tests are available when necessary to monitor your breathing status and measure your total lung capacity. Call the Scheduling Department when necessary to have an appointment for your pulmonary function test. We work directly with physicians according to specific orders and nurses to monitor all of your needs. As an inpatient or outpatient, our department will assess you and care for your respiratory situation as needed.
