Support Groups
Arthritis Support Group
This group offers mutual support and understanding for those with
arthritis. Guest speakers will address issues such as pain management
and relaxation, and explore complementary therapies. The group meets
the third Tuesday of each month, 1:00 pm at NMH. For information,

Breast Cancer Support Group
Meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month, 7:00-8:00 pm at the Sparta Health
& Wellness Center. This American Cancer Society group, for women
at all stages of breast cancer, provides support and information;
also explores complementary therapies. For more information call

Caregivers/Alzheimer's Support Group
This group provides support and information for any type of caregiver.
Usually meets the 1st Wednesday of the month, 7:00 pm at the Adult
Day Care Center, 55 Mill St, Newton. For information, call Social

Diabetes Support Group
Mutual support & education for adults with diabetes; includes
rap sessions & guest speakers. Meets the 1st Wednesday of each
month, 10:00 am at NMH. An evening lecture series meets the 4th
Tuesday of each month, 7:00 pm at Newton Memorial Hospital, call

Life after Cancer Support Group
Meets the last Tuesday of each month, 6:30-8:00 pm at Sparta Health
& Wellness Center. This group offers support & education
for those with cancer at any stage, their families & friends.

Meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month, 6:30-8:00 pm at the Sparta Health
& Wellness Center. This American Cancer Society group offers

Support, encouragement & education for Cardiac Rehabilitation

Stroke Support Group
